Dave Ramsey Endorses 1Dental.com

1Dental Receives a National Celebrity Endorsement

Updated: 12/31/19

We are pleased to announce that America’s top personal finance expert Dave Ramsey has officially endorsed 1Dental for our dental savings plans!

As a company, we are proud of the product we sell. We’ve seen how dental savings plans work to deliver significant savings to our members – and to everyone who works at 1Dental! That’s why we get excited when others see their immense value!

Dave Ramsey’s Official Endorsement of 1Dental.com

“I am a fan of 1Dental.com… In fact, I have team members who have saved over a thousand dollars for one procedure! Start saving today!”

If you listen to The Dave Ramsey Show, you’ve probably heard Dave’s thoughts on dental insurance. He’s not a fan. Dave says it seldom pays off.

Many families invest a large amount of money each month (often $100 or more!) to maintain their dental insurance, believing that when dental problems arise they’ll be covered. But insurance doesn’t always work that way. Let’s say you need a crown. Even with some of the best dental insurance plans, there might be a 2-year waiting period for that treatment. In order to get the crown when you need it, you could end up paying out-of-pocket for it, on top of what you’re paying monthly for your insurance! This can easily break a family’s budget.

How Do Dental Plans Work with My Budget?

  • Low monthly or annual payments instead of high insurance premiums
  • Use dental savings plans right away (Don’t wait for a dental emergency)
  • All pre-existing conditions are accepted
  • No annual maximums
  • Don’t worry about claim forms or deductibles; pay the discounted rate for your treatment at your visit and be done
  • Save on orthodontics (for kids and adults) and other cosmetic work

These dental plans work great with your family’s budget and will save you from wasting money.

Dental savings plans work differently than traditional dental insurance. You’re investing a very small amount for the plan to receive discounts at the dentist for the procedures listed on our website.

Our dental plans work similar to a Costco membership. You purchase the plan to get access to savings on your dental care. With dental savings plans, the rates our members pay are pre-negotiated with dentists. You choose from tens of thousands of dentists across the country, but unlike dental insurance, pre-existing conditions are accepted and there are no waiting periods, no maximums, no claim forms and no deductibles. It even includes orthodontics for kids and adults!

Plus, our dentists love them! By accepting our plans, they get free advertising and more customers to fill appointment slots.

Dave Ramsey isn’t the only one talking about 1Dental. Find out how Diane and her husband saved over $3,000 in just 3 months!

    • Hi Stephanie! We actually can offer a special bundled plan if you think both plans would be helpful for you. Please note that you can’t use them at the same time at the same dentist, but you can use whichever one saves you more. For example, we have some families who go to a Careington Care 500 dentist for their cleanings but send their kid to an orthodontist who accepts the Dental Access plan. For details on this plan, please give us a call at 1-800-372-7615 and we’ll be glad to help!

  1. This is a scam I signed up and went to the dentist and was charged full price and yes I was sent the name of one that was in this program what a waste of time and money I am trying to get a refund and cancel this cannot get to the right person who will cancel and email me with the cancellation confirmation number

    • Hi Virginia. I am sorry you had trouble using your plan. Please call us at 800-372-7615 Monday through Friday or email us anytime at customercare@1dental.com and one of our representatives can help you. If you would like us to help you find a dentist near you, we can do that. We would be interested to know which dentist you saw that charged you full price. We have a member services team who looks into any issues like that to ensure our members are given the discounts promised.

  2. I am interested in your dental plan. The cost for me, zip code is 67203. Does my dentist Frankenbery and Johnson in Wichita, KS accepts this plan or if you will send me a list of dentists in my area.

    • Hi Rosemary, I apologize for our delay in responding to your comment. We do have dentists available in your area, but, unfortunately, Frankenbery and Johnson are not on our list. You can see specific providers in our network available in your area on our website here: https://www.1dental.com/provider/ Just select a plan (I’d recommend the Care 500 plan), enter your zip code and select Search.

  3. Thank you, Natasha, for giving us the opportunity to get some advice from an expert!

I have an impossible situation & every door I open closes. Since I consider myself Mr. Ramsey’s #1 fan & you’ve been honored by America’s Finance Guru, I’m going to deeply humble myself here for a very small chance of actually getting my smile back.

I had a total of 23 major surgeries between January, 2003 to my final surgery on March 23, 2016 when they took my leg & my knee. Before they took my leg, my teeth started falling out & pretty rapidly. The doctors said it was from all the medications, surgery procedures, etc…. My front tooth fell out one night & I cried solid for at less 10 days & hid.

I begged Medicare after pleading my case that it was due to the medical procedures from an accident that was keeping me stressed out 24-7. Blah blah blah as the story goes with no help from anyone but our Lord Jesus. I tried the Dental School for years for treatment only to be deliberately lied to. I had the rest of my teeth pulled (11-13).

I was able to get some top dentures that are falling out. The partial did fall out & it’s gone.

I have lock jaw now & grind terribly. To be able to smile & laugh again means everything to me. My daughter who lives in Gulf Shores told me last Christmas that I looked real sad. I never thought I would ever look sad.

Im picking up the pieces of a life that was destroyed & it’s going to take some time.

Thank you all for listening… your prayers are welcomed always! God Bless!!!

    • We’re sorry to hear about everything you’ve gone through, Lisa. Our discount dental plans can offer you discounts on work like dental implants or dentures at one of the dentists in our network. You can see a list of the procedures our plans offer discounts on here: https://www.1dental.com/fee-schedule/ (just enter your zip code into the search bar) and dentists in our provider network here: https://www.1dental.com/provider/. We hope you are able to get the dental care you need to feel confident about your smile again! It is possible.

  4. I have to have an implant…I was wondering how much I could save with either program you offer and which dentist or orthodonist would be closest to me. My zip code is 66403 Axtell ks. Also how much would the plan cost per year?

    • You can save up to 20% off the average price of dental implants in your area! The exact price may vary based on what kind of implant you need and if any other work is required to place the implant (for example, extraction of an existing tooth, x-rays, etc.). Our prices can be found on our fee schedule page here: https://www.1dental.com/fee-schedule/#prosthodontics-fixed and you can call the dentist you’d like to visit to get an estimated quote before treatment. They may want to see you first so they have a better idea of what exactly you’ll need before offering a quote.

I also did some research for your area and it doesn’t look like we have a lot of providers nearby who do dental implants, unfortunately. :( There were two that I found: Judd R Gouldie DDS in Sterling, NE, and Steven Schulte DDS at Auburn Dental Center in Auburn, NE. These are both general dentists but I found on their websites mention of dental implants, so it may be worth calling to see.

If the price is what you’re looking for and you don’t mind traveling this far for treatment, you would want to get our Dental Access Plan, powered by the Aetna Dental Network, because it will offer you the most savings for the work you need done.
